Per jaar groeit een peuter gemiddeld 5-8 centimeter en komt 2 kilogram aan. Door de afname in groei en gewicht is het normaal dat kinderen minder eten nodig hebben in deze leeftijdsfase.<br \/>\nGedurende deze periode komen ook de meeste tanden bij kinderen door.
